18 April 2016 -- Wichita --

Buenas Tardes a todos!
I hope you all had a week full of milagros!

When serving the Lord, and I guess throughout life in general, you can definitely never expect what will happen or where you'll go. This week in Paradise, I got transferred over to Wichita to be companions with Elder Mitchell again! I'm so excited to be serving with him again! It feels just like yesterday we were hitting the pavement in Top City! The thing that has been running through my mind throughout the entire past several weeks has been a verse of one of my favorite hymns. "There’s surely somewhere a lowly place In earth’s harvest fields so wide Where I may labor through life’s short day For Jesus, the Crucified. So trusting my all to thy tender care, And knowing thou
lovest me, I’ll do thy will with a heart sincere: I’ll be what you want me to be. I’ll go where you want me to go, dear Lord, Over mountain or plain or sea; I’ll say what you want me to say, dear Lord; I’ll be what you want me to be." There's so much there, but I do know that as we do the Lord's will with a sincere heart and act in faith, it doesn't matter where we are; we will reach the vision and potential He has in store for us.

This week, we went on a couple of exchanges and saw some pretty sweet miracles! I got to work with some Elder Yardley and Elder Pearson for a bit! Throughout most of the exchange, no one was really opening up or really wanting to talk. We had another appointment we needed to get to and we were on our way when we saw the Bishop and another member pushing someone's car out of an intersection. We went and finished helping them push it out of the way and started talking to the people inside. They'd just moved here no more than a month ago and were really working on settling in. The husband ended up having to talk on the phone anyways, but his wife told us she'd been wanting to find a church for her family and bring them closer to Jesus Christ. We testified of Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel and how they'd be able to find the peace and joy they were searching for through Him and taking steps of faith closer to Him. She accepted baptism joyfully and eagerly asked us to return to teach the whole family. Truly as we press forward with faith, the Lord provides miracles both large and small.

I attached a poem that I absolutely immersed myself in this week. We all have a task set before us and a vision and potential to reach with the strength and help of our Savior. As we stick to that vision, it becomes a part of us, and just like Brother Baker said in his talk in sacrament his week, "Miracles really do happen. All of us can be
changed for the better!"

Have an amazing week! I love you mucho!

14 April 2016 -- Liberal, Kansas

Hola hola everyone!
Espero que todo esté bien!

The past few weeks have been pretty crazy! First of all, this last week, I got transferred to Liberal with Elder Christensen! I'm definitely so grateful for the opportunity I had to serve in Top City and for all I learned and the miracles we saw! A couple of weeks ago, Alyssa took the step to find new life through her Savior Jesus Christ!
It was amazing to see the light fill her eyes as she grew in her testimony of this Gospel!

I'm definitely excited to be serving back out West though! Back into a Spanish area!:) This last week, we didn't have a ton of time to proselyte, but last night we saw a huge milagro! It was the last minutes of the night before we had to go in and we'd made an MBC (mutual binding commitment) with the Lord to be able to find someone
who was ready to not only hear the Gospel, but prepare to be baptized. We knocked on a potential's door and her sister opened up and immediately began to accept what we were teaching. As we testified of Christ and following His example, she was filled with a light. She accepted to prepare to be baptized! I definitely know the Lord
provides miracles as we commit to Him and become more swallowed up in His will.

Have an amazing week! I love you tons! You're always in my prayers!

Kansas is so windy, trees get blown over and almost destroy your house...
