So, transfers were this last week, and Elder Downs got transferred to Arkansas City and I stayed here to train a new missionary, Elder Boyer! I'm so excited for another great transfer de Milagros en laTierra de Leche y Miel, Garden City! I can feel the Lord hasten His work as time continues to move by more quickly each week and as He
asks and invites us, through our leaders and the Spirit, to do more as we increase in the capacity to do more. The Atonement of Jesus Christ truly does enable us to do more in the Lord's strength as we are stretched through every day trials and events.
The last week Elder Downs was here, we really focused on those who had a sincere desire to come closer to Jesus Christ and act on the commitments they'd received. When Elder Boyer got here, we hit the ground running to grow our teaching pool again. On Friday night,during sports night, Juan and Sylvana's car broke down in the church parking lot. They've been sincerely seeking Jesus Christ the past few weeks and it just so happened that their car broke down in the church's parking lot. The Lord definitely works in mysterious ways. They had immediate fellowship with some of the members who were at sports night and we gave them a church tour on the spot. Their desire to come closer to Christ is sincere and as we've met with them, Elder Boyer and I have definitely felt the Lord's love for them and have seen how much they've been prepared.
This truly is the work of salvation and the Lord is hastening it. More miracles are happening everyday as we continue to lose ourselves in this work and become more enabled and settled disciples of Jesus Christ.
